Editorial standards

Issue Snack explains the Korea stories people are searching for. This is how we work.

What we cover

We follow US Google Trends and major outlets for Korea-related stories, plus practical Korea travel questions. We don't rewrite the same story within 48 hours; a follow-up needs new facts.

Research and fact checks

Each story starts from research notes built from multiple outlets, including Korean-language sources that English media often miss. We use only facts and figures from those notes and link the sources at the end. The central claim gets a verdict — True, Partly exaggerated, False or Unverified — with the evidence in the text.

Use of AI

We use AI (Google Gemini) for research and drafting. Stories publish only after automated checks (style, number of sources, banned phrasing) and an editorial review pass. Lead images are free-licensed photos from official sources or Wikimedia Commons first; AI illustrations are labeled. We never generate images of real people.

Advertising and affiliates

We run ads (Google AdSense) and affiliate links (Klook). Pages with affiliate links say so at the top and next to the links. Affiliate deals never change a verdict, and we never claim to have used or visited something we haven't.

Corrections

We fix factual errors as soon as we confirm them and show the update time. Corrections: Contact email coming soon.
